Despair of the Inner Child

by Broken Inside He only wants to hurt me   Apr 2, 2007

The pain I fear is lost
Deep in my thoughts

Only my dreams reveal my fears
My pain

Though I try as I might I cannot
Escape every bit of pain I must suffer through

Though I know I'm safe
That I'm happy
In my dreams any fear is revealed

My pain takes hold of me
Envelops me in a blanket of darkness and despair

On the outside there may look a girl
A woman who could stand on her own

On the inside a child roams lost and scared
No one to tell her who she is or where she belongs

Her guard always up
For fear of being hurt

Funny how to protect ourselves we always keep our gaurd up, but if we never let loose and give love a chance we end up hurting much worse in the long run. great write 5/5
