Am I Crazy to Wish Upon the Stars?

by Brigitte   Apr 10, 2007

At night I lay snuggled in my bed
Ambitions growling, still unfed
Tossing and turning all night long
Whispering the words of a romance song

Out my window stars shine bright
A speckled blanket of earthen light
Wishes float to the tip of my tongue,
A place where thousands before once hung.

Is there a star for that one wish?
Or am I simply being childish?
Could this little ball of fire,
Grant my heart it's one desire?

Am I crazy to wish upon a star?
A blazing angel so mysteriously far?
Or is there more than the eye can see,
A tiny window that lets my heart believe

Beautiful write, this is what I sort of meant. I hope you can see the difference between this poem, and the first poem I commented. There was detail in this poem, but it was written well, without having to excessively use pronouns. The flow and rhyme scheme were also great, and the content was sweet. I really liked the ending of this one, because it gives a lot of hope. Good job on this poem.

This is a good write, i personaly believe that every wish needs a shooting star, or a penny in a well.
symbols for things we hope for. (:
