A collab written by:
Natalie O.
Craig I.

Illuminating a glow so bright
The fluorescent bulb shining
Bringing the shadows to light
And unleashing the evil lurking

Providing security and hope
Enhancing romance in parks
Tattooing names below its slopes
Aiding the homeless from the dark

Simplicity to you and me
Yet a savoir to those beneath
Guiding those who once were blind
To the destination they seek

Perpendicular to the skies and clouds
Visible on bridges with speeds of light
Pointing homeward, resting on mounds
A poles true purpose reveals at night

From the mothers and kids at play
From the lovers and from evil's seal
Many thanks to the serving angel
For our keeper within the steel

This piece is special to me. It's a collab I did with a friend who's first poem ever written is THIS ONE! He told me to write about the light pole behind where we were sitting, so I started. After the first stanza he took the notebook and added an addition. In my eyes, it's a beautiful piece...because two very different people joined together and shared love for art! It's a wonderful thing! :) The name of the poem is the name of the club we were at. I thought it was a perfect fit.
