You linger around my presence like a leaden burden.
Jealousy blinds the very eyes that are akin to you.
Yet, you seem to never get the moral of letting it go.
Hatred tied you into a knot that you can't seem to undo.

He's happy, but you can't seem to comply with it.
If you loved him, you would want what is best.
You're selfish for only thinking about what you desire.
Jealousy prevailed you to never let your hate rest.

You despise the feelings we share amongst each other.
I feel altered away from what my heart wants overall.
I can't have you step in and fight for what is now mine.
How do you deserve him after you made that call?

What makes you think you justify for what's the best?
You wouldn't know how to care if it hit you in the face.
It impairs me to know that he dealt with no mercy.
It kills to know that you try to knock him out of place.

Tears fall from these broken eyes that's seen too much
My ears heard more than what you can call wrong.
But, my heart experienced something I can't bypass.
So the past is done, present is now, and you've yet to say so long.
