Fairy World

In this universe there are two worlds
They exist peacefully side by side
On one side is the world of mortal men
Whilst the other is where the fairies hide

A thin veiled curtain separates the two
A veil of gossamer, misty and light
It may be drawn back, softly, gently
Revealing the fairy world of sprites

Fairies can be seen where flowers bloom
And where a tree embraces the skies
Where rivers make a path to the ocean
And whenever a small child sighs

It's at these places where the curtains thin
Where fairies are most readily seen
Leaving behind a blanket of fairy dust
A shimmering trail of where they've been

Those that are lucky to catch a glimpse
Are touched by magic and freed from pain
They've opened their eyes, minds and hearts
And their lives will never be quite the same

The fair stories are as timeless as the sky
Infinite as the stars, no beginning or end
A crystal cascade of days that flow endlessly
It's down to you if it's real or pretend

For the fairy world is always there
With a heart that's honest, open and true
You only have to open your eyes
It's waiting to be discovered by you
