Is it really that far?
Have I forgotten so soon?

Dwelling on the memories
That used to drown me,
I sink into the music's melody.
Remembering.

It's been so long since
I've felt that way;
When happiness used to be
A far away dream.

I've learned. I'm wiser.
I am no longer nothing.
I am beautiful. Powerful.
I can be what I wish to be.
I can achieve my dreams.

Only a year, and it has all changed.
I am me now.
No lies. This is who I am.

    Its amazing how much a year can change things. What I liked the most about the poem was the sence that you loved yourself for who you are. You dont see that in a lot of poetry and its very unique. Amzing I loved it. short and to the point.
