Troubled water

Down goes the kingly beast
who we have failed to save
our endless love of technology
sent him to his watery grave

we putt around in our cars
letting our pollution fill the skies
the puzzled polar bear looks all around
watching the waters of his kingdom rise

He doesn't understand about the ozone
or about us using a car
he just knows his land is melting
and the next ones just too far

The troubled waters keep on rising
All the prey on his ice patch gone
so the polar king swims for another
futilely swimming on and on

We say "there are still many bears left"
and "polar bears swim great"
but slowly they are dying
the troubled waters seal their fate

    Wow this was beautiful.. Very different from what I thought I was going to be reading. Such a very creative topic, you showed great passion in this and I can just tell that its something you feel strongly about. And I agree with you. With everything we are doing not only are we going to be hurting ourselves but we are going to be hurting the plants and animals as well, and unlike us they didnt do anything to deserve it. The last line was magnificant.. Very simple yet very powerful. 5.5
