Why Do I Still Love Her?

I lost my first true love
A good while ago.
She tore my heart to pieces.
Further and further apart we would grow.

But even though she was still gone.
And completely out of my whole world.
In my heart kept a special place.
A special place for a special girl.

They say when you lose someone
It just takes some time to recover.
If this saying is so true.
Then why do i still love her?
