Similarity Of Difference

by k i k i   May 6, 2007

Walking through a draft of nameless streets,
Everyone looks identical, everyone looks the same.
Similarities to a plastic model dummy,
All dressing by an equivalent attire menu.
Standing still, no one takes notice to humanity,
As it spins in cycles around their empty heads.

The grass grows along the wiltered valleys,
As children wander and roam the place they call home.
Fairytales and old time fables tell of great adventure,
Ones enriched into their tender minds.
Dreams of joy and fascination help them nod off in sleep,
But for all it's worth, none of them may make the reach to the gold.

Ones before them sought no care,
For those who would trample the terrain today.
Innocent one could say, but one behind it all,
This place is in need of every breath it can inhale.
Clouds damper many spirits,
Yet bring hope to the ones that pray for tears during the nightfall.

It's a fictitious world among the boundaries,
Which lead each and every one of them to the unknown.
Windows smash and homes erupt in barricades,
No one seems to know how to react to such chaos.
The future alone holds nothing more,
And no doubt, nothing less.
