Love Isn't Enough

People used to say we looked perfect,
The happiest couple around,
And we really were.
Who knows what changed,
Or why it had too,
I guess nothing can last forever.

So much reminds me of you,
Of how great our time was.
Everyday I think of you,
And wish we were together,
I know we can't be though,
It just never worked out that way.

We had some amazing experiences,
Moments that last a lifetime,
Seemed so magical then.
So madly in love,
Yet so naive to the future,
We never got our happy ending.

I remember how we parted,
Saying goodbye was so hard,
Almost unbearable to do.
Seeing the tears roll down your cheek,
It really broke me in two,
Even now I still feel guilty.

Spent so much time getting over you,
Although I can't help but wonder,
If I ever truly will be.
I know that I'll always love you,
But sometimes love isn't enough,
You always end up needing more.
