R.I.P Adam

Such a young man with so many dreams,
shattered in a heart beat, lives ripped at the seams,
A stupid idea, turned into a regretful endeavor
a mere second was all it took, to change lives forever.

You hopped onto that bike and started to ride,
illegally obtained you rode with such pride.
You rode your new bike and pushed its limits,
with so much confidence, you were flying within minutes.

Reaching top speed and continuing to climb,
a small mistake was to be made, it was just a matter of time.
Throttle at full strength, head down shoulders low,
In your head you had your self convinced, you were riding like a pro.

The car came around the corner without the slightest clue,
that a bike would be flying at them, with no idea on what to do.
With out enough time to even hit the brakes,
Debris flew through the air, three lives were at stake.

The couple survived just a little shaken,
Adam was not so lucky, his life right there was taken,
Such a young man, only a mere eighteen,
his life shattered in a heart beat and lives ripped at the seams.

Tears have not calmed since that terrible day,
A date never to be forgotten, the 27th of may.
Remorse and regret has not began to cease,
But to you Adam Greaney, we hope you Rest In Peace.
