Love Hurts

by Jax x lyn   Jul 5, 2007

A knife is calling her,
It is whispering her name,
It tells her how easy it would be
To simply end this love game.

But suddenly he is there,
His teeth shining white,
Rich laughter echoing
Through the dark, stormy night.

He approaches her quietly,
His hands held out,
Toward her he reaches,
Showing no sign of doubt.

Her eyes wide in love,
She feels his lips touch,
So soft they are on her own,
She had dreamed of this so much.

And so her eyes opened,
As she realized it was a dream,
So real it had felt,
So true it all seemed.

Tears poured from her eyes,
As she neared disparity,
They gleamed in love and pain,
Her mind facing insanity.

The only thing that knew
Soon to come was her fate,
Was the weapon calling
An escape from her state.

She held the blade firmly,
It was pressed against her wrist,
And for a few lonely moments,
She wondered if she\'d be missed.

\"I hate this damned life!\"
In a huff she spat,
A quick movement was made
And that was that.

If only you knew boy,
If only you knew.
She died because of love,
She died for you.
