Love's Defeat

by Lyssi Lori   Jul 9, 2007

She wasn't perfect, not at all,
She couldn't stop the tears that would fall.
Her heart was pure, but not spared,
It would only rot cuz her Love never cared.
Her innocence once shimmered, her eye were beautiful and clear,
But now they're dark and clouded with no sign of cheer.
She had a kind and loving touch, but it turned cold,
Because now she's alone with no one to hold.
Her voice was soft, her tune was musical, her words were always sweet,
But now her lips are cursed because of her Love's defeat.
