Lies*

It's not worth living for the lies
You always try to disguise
you don't want others to know
You just want to go.
Anywhere,
Away from here,
Anywhere but here;
It's not worth the lies

*Note: I wrote this as one of my first poems. I was going through a hard time with my family and felt everything was just full of lies, I also felt it was a time for me to die... so i was contemplating suicide...but now I'm fine :D*

    I like this piece: It is short but very meaningful. I can relate to it, it sounds similar to some poems I wrote. The greatest power of this piece is in its simplicity and the honesty that you put into words.

    I thought this was beautifully written and yet heartbreaking at the same time...you managed to pack a lot of emotion and depth into a relatively short piece...well done.
