I Try To Forget

by Michelle18   Jul 25, 2007

I try to forget your laugh,
And your sweet kiss.
The way you say my name,
And your natural born bliss.

I try to forget the tears,
That I cried when you walked away.
And of course the hurtful heartache,
That is now here to stay.

I try to forget your touch,
That always took away my fears.
And the fact that you'd been around,
For so many damn years.

I try to forget our memories,
That we shared together.
And to forget those broken words,
"We'll be together forever."

You're really good at this whole repeating phrases thing in your poetry. I wish I could do something like that. I can feel the sadness coming from this poem though.
    Well done 5/5

i lovee that stanza.. amazing way to end the poem.. people always say forever.. but it seems to never end up that way. Amazing job once again! Keep it up. =)

I loved this so much, and oh how I can relate. I love how it was so simple yet expressed a diary full of emotions.
