A Sweet, Chewy, Embrace

by Ren   Jul 26, 2007

Oh this gooey strip,
It melts in my mouth,
Tingles my tongue with such sweet, sweet satisfaction,
Giving me goose bumps as I munch on it melodically,
Letting the intense flavors ease inside my throat...

I don't know what I would do,
If I could not pull out a piece,
And pop it in,
To calm my nerves,
To make me smile,
To have me humming an incredibly insane tune...

What a creation,
That comes from nature itself,
To have come up with,
Such a tauntingly small rectangle,
That holds much, much more,
Than what the eye can see...

I take a small bite down,
And saliva takes over,
Bursting flavors covering my mouth,
With such a sweet after taste,
That last for hours and hours on end,
Always there,
Never to end...

This miraculous healer,
Is my stress reliever,
And oh how blue,
And so very glum
I would be,
Without my little piece of gum...
