I Thought I Knew You

How could you
forget to call
and raise me up
to let me fall?

you weren't another passing though
i thought you understood that
when i told you
that i loved you

but here we are
once again
lost in a fight
that never ends

and as i sit here
by the phone
i wonder how you could
leave me here
feeling so lost and all alone

i know where you are
i know you're with her
so i drink some more
until it's all a blur

I wrote this poem late at night, while i was waiting for a call from my ex boyfriend. He says he still loves me, but he treats me so differently from when we were going out that i don't believe him. Ive moved really far away from him, and he's already back to liking his ex... but still loving me?? you see before, he would never forget to call me. please vote :)

    All the emotion is here, making it an easy poem to relate to. Your word usage with this one isn't as incredible as the last few poems I read. Still, a great read.

    Very moving & full of emotion.
    I just think that this verse should be edited:

    But it's just my opinion. I may be wrong.. The rest is up to you. Good poem anywayz :)

    THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!
    My mom went through the same thing one time [esp. the drinking part]
    and so i can sorta relate!!
