Unwilling Sacrifice

by ShadowedPhoenix   Jul 28, 2007

Behind the frosted mirror
Of deception and disgrace
Is a vision
Less believable to fate,

A picture perfect
Of arms and soul unscarred
A world of beauty-
Sacrifice and one non-alarmed.

Yet as I glance behind the cracks
Of the mirror that too was broken
I canâ??t deny the pain
And the memory of self loathing.

And I wish
To wish it all way
Yet no wish
Will cause the happiness to stay.

I shall cut out my heart
And bleed dead on the floor
For loving is a sacrifice,
One I will make no more!
