Bring Back The Beats Of Yesterday

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Jul 29, 2007

I just felt like describing New York. It's not too good, but I hope you like it.
And I need a catchy title (like the type I usually have) for this poem. Any suggestions would be great. =]
```````````````````````````````````````````
This metroplex is turning once again from the start,
And there's definately something strange about the beating of its heart.
We'll call it the center, if we have nothing else to say;
The music's rocking our blood cells, turning them every way.
Veins filter with the intentions of a sunset, shining and bright,
But there's nothing compared to New York City's skyline lights.
As we run to the pigment of a bluesy tune, we'll turn our heads
And think about the good times we shared in the heart instead.
Oh, this metroplex is turning into lanes we never knew,
And we'll shrug at the tunnels that rack our brains and chew
What's left of life's lessons to be learned; in our hearts we'll intertwine
And hope for one more night to view the New York City skyline.
    I think it's pretty good. I loved the words you used in the poem. Metroplex...I just like that word. It makes me happy. :) But no seriously I did like some of the words you used. The blood cells line is one of my favorites. 5.
    Yay! First comment. Gosh, I love NYC and you did a great job at describing the Big Apple. Titles... you always have such great titles... umm... I really don't know if they are any good, but I'll list the ones that I came up with.
    Secrets Of The Metroplex
    Music Of The City
    Bring Back The Beats Of Yesturday
    I like the first one the best, but then again, I was never good at titles. :P
    Great job Sheena!! :]
