Our child

Last night
I saw our child
I wish you could have seen
The way she smiled

Her fat little cheeks
Just like mine
Perk up below
Her blue eyes that shine

She had your freckles
And a cute little nose
When you hold her in your arms
All your love shows

She looked at you
With so much love for her father
You held the little hand
Of our beautiful baby daughter

But then I woke up
and saw that none of it was true
our little girl was gone
and so were you
