Running Low On Strength.

by ABake   Jul 31, 2007

It's becoming extremely complicated,
I am afraid I can no longer hold on.
Lets face the reality, my feelings for you are gone.

I never thought I'd give up,
For our relationship I would go to any length.
But lately, I am running low on strength.

It's not easy for me to do this,
I really don't want to tear your world apart.
I'm sorry, but I have to listen to my heart.

A tear slides down your cheek, I whisper goodbye.
My mind is saying turn around, heart screaming let go.
I become frantic, what to do, I just don't know.

I turn and look back, tears are falling from your eyes.
You mouth I love you, it no longer feels the same.
It has nothing to do with you, I am the one to blame.

I was running low on strength,
My grip loosening, my hold no longer tight.
I'm sorry, but being with you, no longer feels right.

The rhyming in this piece is good but the flow is little off in some parts. You could use some more metaphors for your emotions. I don't want to offend you in any way, just giving constructive critic.
Anyway, the poem is nicely written, I like its form and the whole idea.

Aw great poem! It reminds me of something I just went through. You put all that emotion into words! Great job!
Like Mo, I liked the three lines to a stanze and the rhyming. It was original and very nicely done! Keep it up!

Very well done! Amazing that you can write so deeply at such a tender age - its going to serve you well throughout life.

Loved the 3 lines to a stanza and the different rhyming technique.
