My heart counts down the seconds,
Aching with longing for you,
Tears rolling down my cheeks,
No matter what I do.

I turn to face the wall,
So I can focus on something real,
I feel my throat closing up,

I'm numb inside,
Holding back tears,
Needing you beside me,
To take away my fears.
