Broken Hearted

I cant believe I fell for you,
And for all your stupid lies.
Tell me, what did I do,
To deserve so many nights of worthless cries?

You said you loved me oh so much,
You miss me everyday.
Well if that was so true,
Tell me why you went away.

I guess promises dont mean s***,
Because you promised you would wait.
Now I just have a crazy fit,
When I think of that one day.

The day when I trusted you,
And thought you would never leave.
So I went to your apartment with you,
And now I just sit and grieve.

I was stupid for saying this time wasnt the same as before,
Im stuck with shame because I lied.
I thought we had something more,
But you only had something to hide.

So hows your new girl?
The one you cheated with.
I hope you both know you crushed my world,
But you're not even sorry for what you did.

So empty is where I stand,
But its nothing new.
Broken hearted is what I am,
All because of you.

this poem is true...i wrote this in february and im just now posting it... it still hurts me to even think about it but i wanted to put it up here..so yeah.tell me what you think of it.

    Sorry but I don't like it. It is too typical and emotions aren't greatly expressed. Atmosphere could be stronger. This is just my opinion maybe others like this poem more but I think that it isn't good.

    The emotion in this really seeps from the words. its very strong, and very sad, and added to the knot in my stomache I've had for the last two days is quite powerful indeed haha. Being cheated on hurts, being left after you've been cheated on is terrible too. Very strong emotions, good rhyming and flow. Don't give up on love because of just one person. People can tend to be stupid.

    I really love the ending to this poem it was very heartfelt as ive noticed with your other poems you can feel alot of emotion and meaning

    The mournful feelings are visible in this piece. Meaning that the word choice really collocates making it a real well strung piece. 5/5 all the way

    The emotions in the piece are greatly expressed, and the rhyming is also very good, the rhymes don't seem forced. My favorite stanza is:
    -I cant believe I fell for you,
    And for all your stupid lies.
    Tell me, what did I do,
    To deserve so many nights of worthless cries?-
    The flow of the whole piece is great, too.
