Shunned.

by Isabelle   Aug 26, 2007

What more tragic way to say goodbye
then to tell me like you did.
you opened up and shut me out
to say that 'we' were rid.
taking the very part of me that had wished to be dead,
was merely then and merely now,
your tied-up, loose-end thread.
what more can one be done with,
when I have clearly lost.
the deed be done,
and I be shunned,
for HER you paid the cost.
