Only Time Will Tell

by Tom Martin   Sep 9, 2007

The minutes go by, ticking into hours, falling into days
Time seems to be taunting me, for it knows my feelings
I see it with a sly smirk across it's face, so knowing
Because it knows that time will only tell
And so on and on it goes
Seasons turn from autumn to winter
From spring to summer
The times change as the colors of seasons do as well
Through all of this, I can still feel it in me
There's something I cannot hide, that nothing can break
Just the thought of you makes my day brighter
And for once, a smile dances across my face
Though I cannot see you, I can feel your presence
You are in the warm summer breeze flowing across my face
I see you in the early sunsets of winter
Thoughts of you help me through the darker days
There are things I know that only time will tell
But there is one thing I know for certain...

I love you, and will always and forever
I have faith that we will pull through the hard times together
And the rest?

Only time will tell...
