A prayer of hope

Ive sat and watched for so long now,
While she cries and struggles to find
The right words to say to you,
That say whats on her mind

To get across the hurt and the pain
that have been caused by your lies,
The constant snub of being a secret,
Of planning how to say the goodbyes~

That she knows will one day be
Inevitable words she has to say,
To save her sanity and her soul,
From rotting and decay.

All she ever wanted from you
Was honesty, hope and trust,
But you have constantly denied her, by not
Doing and saying the things you knew you must.

Promises you made, but never kept,
But her heart was set on each one,
And after so many lay empty and broken,
The end she has reached, it is done.

The road trip you planned to help you sort
Your head, your heart, your soul.
Even then she held on tight,
Believing you would find your goal.

But you're back and still no change,
She can't go on anymore,
She has to make a life for herself,
Her children, but it cuts to the core.

She still loves you so very much,
And I know she always will,
Her love for you will never die,
It will remain constant and still.

If you ever need her support,
She will always be there for you,
But are you strong enough to walk away
And let her start anew?

Why not just stand up tall, for once,
And shout from the rooftops for all to hear,
How much you love her and always will?
Let it ring like a bell loud and clear.

That is the only way you will win her back,
By saying what should have been said
So many months ago now, Be strong,
If not, be it on your own head.

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face,
Because lonely you will be,
Your family will stand by you eventually,
Can you just not see?

Remember though, It is never too late,
She is not lost to you yet,
Do what you know you must do,
Are you ready? On your marks, get set!
