That Girl is Me

I want to know, where did I go?
I'm looking for me everywhere
But finding me feels impossible
Maybe me doesn't exist anymore

Walking through the door,
Finding a girl starring back
Her eyes tell me she knows me;
But she's a total stranger

Her eyes dark just like mine
Hair style layered no differently
Face features and skin tone
Exactly the same as my own

She tells me she's me
I know it can never be;
That girl may look the same,
But i know we are nothing alike.

I see a tear rolling down her cheeks,
Also feeling something warm crawl down my face
I look at her wrist and see the scars;
Knowing it's also my pain she shares...

Now I know that girl is me
Maybe I just didn't realize...
That time and pain changed me
And betrayal took away my trust.

I don't know if I even trust myself
But there's one thing I know for sure;
This ain't the old girl I used to be...
This is the new girl that took over me.
