Old acoustic guitar

by adis negara   Oct 9, 2007

Two empty bottles of whiskey
still lay on the floor as he
try to close the book of pain
mind journey which never ends

Look back at the wall he smile
at a photograph he call "me and you"
never know what that smile means
maybe just a grind of heartache

With dizzy head he got up
reach for his best companion
that old acoustic guitar
she bought him for a birthday gift

Try to gain his composure
he started to sing that old song
the song he made for her
piece of his beautiful heart

Tears start falling down
as he abused the old acoustic guitar
while his voices lost in his cries
asking these simple questions

"why took years for you to turn your back"
"why don't you walk away before I am in to deep"
"why you fill me with all these hope"
"why loving you is hurting me?

He hold the old acoustic guitar tight
speak to it as it was a human
you the only one that understand
how she means alot to me

Silence wrap across the room
as he waiting for an answer from
the old acoustic guitar
and he keep on waiting.....

They found him there
peacefully laying with a smile
next to his old acoustic guitar
and the song he wrote for her
