16 Years

16 years,
Neither young nor old.
These are the best years of our life,
Or so I've been told.

I hope we can make the best,
Of our last few years here.
Because soon we'll be off,
Starting our new career.

Some say that their friends,
They never get to see,
I'd be lost without you,
So lets be different, you and me.

Lets call each other
In the middle of the night
And talk about the hott boys
And who got in a fight.

Lets write each other letters
And talk about how much college sucks
And how we wish we could
Just have a few extra bucks

I often sit and think
About what I would do
If I had to go through life
Without knowing you

I thank God everyday,
For giving me such a wonderful friend.
And I pray that he'll let me keep her,
Until the very end.

I'd like to tell you something,
You are one of very few
And you've help me with everything
And for that I'd like to say "thank you"

You put up with me
And thats gotta be rough
You've stuck my side
Even when the going was tough

Even though we've had our fights
And we thought we'd be friends no longer
We always came back to each other.
And our friendship was even stronger.

So when we're old and gray,
Let cruise in our pink wheelchairs
And make checking out the hott grandpas
The greatest of our cares.

I just want to say "Happy Birthday girl!"
And please never forget me.. Never,
And let's stay friends,
For ever and ever.
