Worms and roses

by Lenny   Oct 28, 2007

Hole in heart
The worms have him now

They took him
And now roses wilt

Summer has gone
Winter has taken them

I miss those roses
My roses
They filled the hole

But the worms now eat those too

To fix it do I eat them?
Eat the worms
That have eaten me?

Will worms fill the hole in my heart?
Id rather eat roses.

I miss those roses
They fill the hole

Where love once smelled
So sweet.

    Killer poem.
A gentle read ... with a touch of romance.
Maybe not the kind you see on T.v.... but damn, that was beautiful.

I put petals on my eyelids to share any kind of sleep. with you. hot gun-metal, this is a crime. But in sharing sleep i guess maybe it's true that we're remembering our dreams?
