You

by Poet on the Piano   Oct 31, 2007

Your hands,
Like the softness,
Of your sweet smelling body.
Telling me everything,
That I will ever need to know.

Your lips,
Loving me,
Like the beauty of a rose.
First touching it,
Then loving it.

Your tears,
Like a rose,
In a sweet shower.
My heart feeling your pain,
With every little tear.

Your eyes,
Like the ocean,
So deep and dark.
Like the sky,
But clearer,
Staring at mine,
Knowing my thoughts,
Understanding my needs,
And all of my wants.

Your hair,
So dark and smooth.
Like the midnight sky,
Never losing its beauty.
Your hair always moves so swiftly,
With every rough yet gentle breeze,
That comes upon you and me.

Your face,
Like an angel's,
As perfect as could be.
And your expressions,
Always pleasing me.

Very good poem. Nicely worded and reads smoothly.

Wow. I think what made me like this one most of all was that it didn't really rhyme, nor have a set syllable count - any of that. It just kind of went, and it's good! I do like free verse, a lot. But, sometimes it's hard to find good ones. Even, though all poems are good (to an extent of course), there's not many that I believe are worthy of praise. But, this one surely is darling.

You did a wonderful job with it, and I absolutely loved it.

And, the ending was great, as well. (:

This is a good poem, but normally a twelve year old girl would not know what real love is. I think you're a bit ahead of your time.
