Motherhood

by serendipitee   Nov 2, 2007

"Duct tape"
she writes on her
list of items needed
to survive in the
aftermath of a
nuclear holocaust.

A thought that had
never sprung unbidden
to her mind in possibility,
until this little satellite
had settled its weight
in its orbit around her.

Ridiculous,
how much in love
comes unprepared.
