This, UNWELCOME SAVIOUR

by Cooper   Nov 2, 2007

***Sometimes anger is so irrational, it makes as much sense as love.***

This MEDICATION; won't save me.
This SUFFOCATION, may just redeem me.

The days go by,
and the nights I taste,
like a hot icy kiss upon my stale lips.
Ashes falling across my face,
remnants of memories I deemed a religion.

She carries me
with this broken innocence,
underneath the footfalls of dying Gods.
I wake up to a fire falling from the sky
and sprawled across my skin, (Yeah, I am the sky).
Peels my essence from the bone,
no solace in the humid Hell,
rising from beneath this rotten carapace.

This perpetual irony,
I speak my own name in satire,
jesters make mockery from the thrones of Kings.
Bloody scalp, eyes matted into the back of my skull,
this crown of cleavers symbolizes my death;
a ghost past expiration date.

This INFATUATION; doesn't understand my love.
This MISINTERPRETATION, makes me feel understood.

Wow! This is utterly brilliant. Each line is impressive on it's own way, you have so refreshing ideas and I admire that, it was big pleasure to read this, you put so much grotesque beauty in the atmosphere of this one. Well done! Truly fantastically done. I will put this into my favorites, you quite left me speechless with this piece.
