I need to soar

In the dark i cry alone, but in my dreams i soar.
my ears hear your harsh words.
my eyes see your mean.
my hands try to cover.
my arms to protect.
my mind leads me from this place.
my thoughts set me free.
i need to go away to grow.
i need time to heal...
but first i need to soar
