Hearts That Bleed

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 19, 2007

A heart still beats,
When love does end,
You think it won't,
But it will mend.

It may bleed,
And leave a scar,
It turns you into,
Who you are.

You can't escape,
We're meant to feel,
We come to mourn,
You learn to heal.

When we laugh,
We do not cry,
Where is God?
And taunt the sky.

When we're broken,
Whose to blame?
If not us,
What we became.

Though we bleed,
It proves we live,
And if we try,
We can forgive.

Not just them,
Ourselves too,
We must let go,
Of all we knew.

All we thought,
And once believed,
All we held,
And preconceived.

I love the message and rhythm and flow of this piece....it rolls along with perfection from beginning to end.

    "A heart still beats,
    When love does end,
    You think it won't,
    But it will mend."

^Trying to move on is so hard....but time does heal....beautiful phrasing...

    "Though we bleed,
    It proves we live,
    And if we try,
    We can forgive."

^Reminds me of that phrase...what doesn't kill us makes us stronger...

Well thought out and to the point...a joy to read! Take care, Debbie
