Innocent love; our first

We started as acquaintances
exchanging smiles in the hall
the classic conversations
this meant so much when the deed was so small

then you were my friend
when i was in need, it was you that was there
you helped me hold my head strong
when life seemed too grueling to bear

suddenly I'm feeling more
you're different than the rest
and now i feel a throb
from the heart inside my chest

I'm falling faster now
i feel the chemistry when you look into my eyes
oh boy i don't know what it is
but you give me butterflies

sweetie now you've got me
i see us holding hands under moonlit skies
our first kiss in the down pouring rain
what I'm feeling; this is such a surprise

innocence at its best
I'm abruptly feeling scared
i think it might be love
but i couldn't say it if i dared

i know its not the best.
but its just how i felt at the time.
