Life vs Love.

by FromHeroToZero   Nov 21, 2007

There's this overwelming rage inside of her
It's making its way through her entire body
Eating away all of her common sense
With its hunger for fear

She never felt more insecure yet more powerfull
Because she comes to the conclusion all of it is her fault
You don't have your faith in your own hands
But you do have your choices and actions
So there's no one else to blame for life's misery
The misery you caused yourself

She can't really reminisce the day it all started
The day everything crashed down right before her eyes
And everything stopped making sense
But then she got sick of love taking control over her
And she made a change

She made sure her expectations were low
So she couldn't get more disappointed in life itself
And in that particular love
That became a part of her body, her heart, herself

But the saddest thing about her is
The fact that she doesn't even know which day it was
When his heart stopped beating for her.

(( Well I'm not quite sure what this poem is about. It's quite confusing, just like my mind is at the moment. I hope you liked it, and please leave a message or rate, so I know if it's any good, and if it makes any sense. ))

It is confusing, but so is love and life and at times what we say just won't make sense, but I liked the way in which you wrote it. You have a nice flow to the piece.

Well I surely understand it. It might not be a perfectly flowing poem..but it doesn't have to be. It has all the emotion in it. And after all loosing a love is a confusing situation...and if that is expressed in the poem..then the poem is doing a good job of expressing the emotions the poet felt at the time (which is "what you did).
I like this, as painful as it is, I like it. I'm sure people can relate.

You don't have your faith in your own hands

^That is so very true. It's how life works. We don't get to choose what happends but we do get to choose how we react to it. Great work! =] keep it up.
