Inevitability of love

by shadowknight   Dec 26, 2007

I thought love was simple,
Easy to understand,
But that all changed,
The moment you touched my hand.

Yet you saw through this,
All the love,
Straight into the depth,
The pits of hate.

Its fine,
Love isnt supposed to be happy,
But you turned it against me,
Into pain.

This isnt just a sappy poem,
My feelings cant be written down,
Only destruction of my life,
On your pages with my blood.

Just look me in the eyes,
And tell me the truth,
Say our love isnt there,
Straight to my face.

My passion rages,
Past you mistakes,
You told me love was inevitable,
And so is your fate.

Our love is forever,
You cannot run,
I will find you,
I will win your little game just for fun.

So lay down your resistants,
Let me take control,
This is your fate,
Till the end of time.

    This poem is so passionate.
its as though the lover is trying to control someones life, as that person runs away.
    Beautifully written.
