A Thought Goes Astray

by Poetic Ninja aka Papachopchop   Dec 28, 2007

Here I lay,
Watch myself passing over,
Chaos and confusion rule my thoughts,
Why did everything end this way?

Pure Intentions drive my actions,
But self destruction is the result,
I feel as if this life rejected me,
And left me in a renegade faction.

But with my soul now darkness dwells,
I ponder to think of the reason,
This world of evil, a living hell,
Will there be a changing of the seasons?

I love everything about this piece. You wrote it in a good way and expressed emotions greatly. I can relate to this in a way. Whole poem is original and interesting. You did excellent job with rhymes.
    My favorite stanza is:

    - Pure Intentions drive my actions,
But self destruction is the result,
I feel as if this life rejected me,
And left me in a renegade faction.-

    Fantastic!

The fact that you said so much in just three stanzas is impressing. I like your choice of words in the whole poem a lot.
Powerful and unique piece from the first to the last line.

    Keep up the great work!
    5/5 from me
