The White Wolf

by Johnnys Medicine   Jan 1, 2008

Walking into the forest
Among the old trees that sprung out of the snow Listening to the ancient voices of the forest wind
As the white wolf watched in the whiteness.

I marvel at the beauty of the forest
The naked trees coming out of the snow
The cold wind amongst my face
While the white wolf watched from the wilderness.

Finally, the lake of ice
Frozen over with dazzling snowy specks of diamonds
Untouched by the world
Complete and udder peace without price.

I sit there for a while on the cold ground
Meditating on all of this peace
On all this beauty
I meditate on this as the white wolf watches without a sound.

When I leave with the sun going down to sleep for the night
I see the forest change and become full of more beauty How a place can hold this much beauty I will never understand
The last thing I see before I leave is the tail of a white wolf disappearing into the winery night.
