Perfect Insanity

by Danni   Jan 3, 2008

In the back of my mind there's a room,
this room is no ordinary place,
it's where I keep secret things locked up,
where no one will be able to see my true face.

I sometimes would go to this room,
when things weren't going my way,
I hid from everyone, so some things,
I wouldn't have to say.

It's a place where I feel secure,
nothing can go wrong there,
no broken hearts,
not even one tear.

But I don't go there,
I'm not allowed to anymore,
I gave them the key,
and locked the door.

What they don't know is,
I still have a key,
so when I get tempted,
my room is there waiting for me.

Wow I loved this one. It's been a while since I read your poetry, and I'm so glad I am right now, haha. I can relate to the poem alot. That's how I am too...sometimes I just block things out and don't let people in. I'm not supposed to, but sometimes I still do.
Anyways this was great...5/5 for sure
