Not coming back ever

He broke her heart,
He left her to drown,
When he said goodbye,
Her world crashed down,

She had told him she loved him,
How could she be so dumb?
When he stood there, said nothing,
Her whole world became numb.

The pain was to unbearable,
To have these feelings inside,
But she faked a smile,
True emotions she hides.

Because of her smile,
He thought she was fine,
But he didn't realise,
he had crossed a thin line.

He woke to the ring of his phone,
To hear her mother on the other end,
"she wrote a note to say good bye",
"and it said no longer could she pretend"

Her mum finished by saying,
"She wrote she loved you with all her heart"
"My daughters dead and its all your fault"
"Because when u broke up you tore her apart"

She hung up the phone,
And the boy started to cry,
He remembered the day,
And the look in her eye.

He never realised then,
He just didn't know,
He really did love her,
But never let it show.

If he had have just told her,
And not have been scared,
His true feelings,
He should have just shared.

Now she gone,
Not coming back ever,
A simple i love you,
And they would be together.

    This actually does remind me of my own writing...=)
    it surely is deeply sad and heartbreaking...
    Though, it is true that most people only notice how wonderful it is what they have, when they lose it (in this case "her") and this is the most sad part of it all, the small possibility that anything like this can come true...

    what I actually meant was that this poem is beautifully sad...
    (i wonder who has been downrating here...4.9? you deserve a 10...=)) )

    See, the thing with these poems is that everyone goes through awful breakups, so everyone's got a poem like this. Seriously. I'm guilty too. =] Good, though. If only it wasn't over-done.

    Very touching sad piece, filled with emotions expressed in a good way. I like the way you wrote it- simply and straight to the point because that added greater effect to described feelings.
    The story behind the poem kept my attention from the beginning to the end.
