What Will You Do?

by Simple Sensation   Jan 10, 2008

Have you ever been at war?
Ever been immersed so deep
You don't know how to escape any of it.

And it takes over, leaving you crumpled
And then the walls cave in [hope is gone]
The windows smash, sprinkling glass

You give up in the middle of battle.
And you let it, [one you hate but love] win.
But the lost battles don't mean the war's over.

Because what happens when it returns?
When the enemy returns? Do you fight?
Do you give in? But what more pain will it cause?

And a part of you wants to fight
In this cold brutal war [You wish you had the strength]
You don't want to be a victim. Anymore.

Fighting is just so hard you feel
When you're alone in the battlefield
But no matter who knows [Should they even know?]
And no matter how they help
You're the only one who can win this war.

The battlefield will fill, if you chose to fight
Your determination will see you through
Now what will you do?
