You Are My Heartbreak

by Brittany Stone   Jan 11, 2008

Fingertips touching..
Slowly you turn, walking from me.
I'm reaching out to you now
Please come back to me.

You've been gone for awhile now
I've picked up the phone a thousand times
Dialed those numbers deeply imprinted in my memory
You came to me, you got what you came for, you left.

I'm trying to forget your face
The longer you're away the less I need you
In me, I want to be yours
I desire to be desired by you.

You call today.

She means the world to you
I can tell by the way you describe her
From her scent to the way her smile makes you melt
I'm begging God to give me the strength
To not come crumbling down.

I'm a mess here sitting at my computer
Trying to fit these last two years into a couple sentences
My heart is full of tears that my pride won't allow to escape
You were the one I thought my heart belonged to
My heart is collapsing now..I am lost.
