Is it your absence ?

by silence kills   Jan 11, 2008

My past is ever waking as a whisper breaks my shield
Trapped in an inauspicious fate that never seems to yield
These reoccurring events refuse to disappear from my presence
I wonder... would it all go away if not for your absence?
I'm becoming entangled in these ever silent words
Will I be able to break this curse; press onward?
Or is it simply my destiny to have this unalterable fate?
Can I learn to escape it, would my wisdom be too late?
Could it all be cast aside with those simple words you say?
Is that really all it takes to make this torment go away?
Or would it slip right past me like the dawn into the night?
When my heartbeat slows unconsciously, can I still be alright?

Man, your work just gets better and better. How do you come up with this wording the way you do? It's truly amazing. Your last line was probably my favorite! \

would my wisdom be too late?

although I enjoyed that line too!
