What do I do now?

The girl I love is dodging me,
Would you rather be elsewhere?
Or maybe with Steve,
I just know this isn't fair!

We had our time alone,
But you chose to sleep,
Instead of play and roam,
What is this spider web you waive?

If you don't wish to play with me,
Then just say those words to my face,
Please don't make me plainly see,
That I will be put in the friends place,
