Obession

by Nikki   Jan 14, 2008

One more bottle,
As he drinks til he can’t stand.
I watch him stumble off to bed,
With just one more drink in hand.
Nothing every changes, I watch him lie upon the floor.
Cursing everything,
He pops the top once more.
There’s no life left in his eyes,
The light no longer shines.
Misery has replaced his happiness,
As he downs another shot.
One day he might realize,
It can replace the pain.
You have to talk about it,
To make it go away.
Even as his drinking becomes an obsession,
I believe god can cure his depression.
Until than I watch him stumble off to bed,
With just one more drink in hand.
