Awakening

by Mommy And Me   Jan 17, 2008

Awakening

I wait in the shadows
Praying to those who fall victim
To this evil called 'love'
Then I swallow them whole
And take vengeance on those who are close
Tearing them apart is what I do
No one can escape me
Though they refuse to acknowledge me
I laugh my devious laugh
As they cry their sorrowful tears
I am the one who makes you want each other
But yet you hate each other even more
Jealousy

This was great and oh so true. I was actually captivated by your choice of words. LOL. The only thing this poem is missing is punctuation, but it actually works well with this particular poem. Keep up the great writing Terra.

Wow, seriously this should replace the dictionary definition of jealousy. Don't worry I have under control, I'm on the phone with Websters right now!

    Wow...
Truly greatly written piece. It is deep and very interesting. It's different from anything I've read before. Powerful piece, very profound. I like your choice of words and interesting rhythm that you created.
Effective from the first to the last line.
The only suggestion that I have here is that you should work on the punctuation in this piece which would make it even more powerful.
    Keep up!
