Tears of despair

My hollow palace
tears are cried there
echoing through walls
filled with despair.

Two hearts torn apart
never again to entwine
love no longer lives
in this palace of mine.

Cobwebs of sadness
outside my front door
heartache has settled
on the cold dusty floor.

Imprisoned by a love
no other can replace
alone with my memories
in my hollow palace.
