Vampire

by Verity Han   Jan 19, 2008

I'm losing my mind
And my face.
How long does it take
To get out of this place?

The light's too strong,
The dark's too weak.
My teeth are too long
And my voice is too deep.

My my, this deep craving,
What is it for?
My skin is still pale,
But it's covered in blood and gore.

What am I, this hideous beast?
What is it that I eat at a feast?
My my, dear friend, please take my heed
For you are next for me to feed!

Great job, I really like this poem, its short and sweet, and has a great pace to it. I think my favorite part was:
    "My skin is still pale,
But it's covered in blood and gore."
Its almost a shock to go from pale skin, which is normally something describing beauty, and the next thing you read is so dark. I love it!
